A little kernel of an idea grows up

Five years ago, I was in graduate school working on my MBA.  I had a job as an assistant in the marketing and finance department to help me pay for my schooling.

I loved that job.  If I had been able to stay on after I had graduated, I would have.  Unfortunately, the position was only available for students.

Fast forward to 2 years ago, when I started writing this blog.  I didn’t really have a plan for this.  I didn’t know where it was going to lead me.  I just knew that I loved writing.  I quickly started to meet so many other amazing bloggers, and I learned that there is this inspiring and huge community of bloggers out there.  I can happily call many of those bloggers my friends today.

A few months ago, I had a little kernel of an idea slide into my head.  I examined that kernel.  I chewed on it.  I slept on it.  Sometimes, I would take that kernel of an idea out and mull it over for a great, long time before putting it back where I thought it belonged: in my head, and in my head alone.

Then, one day, that kernel became very insistent.  It wouldn’t go back.  It said, “Stop being so scared.  You can do this.”

Today, I proudly present my little kernel of an idea, all grown up.

I have combined the two things I enjoy the most (blogging and assisting) into one area, and I am offering my services as a virtual assistant to bloggers and shop owners.  I’m also offering services for those who wish to transfer their blog from Blogger to WordPress.

I am so excited to start doing this.  I believe I was born to help people.  It’s something that I truly enjoy doing.

If you’re a blogger or shop owner, I invite you to take a look at what I have to offer.  Also, if know of anyone who might be interested in my services, please feel free to pass my information along.

I invite you to join me on this journey.  We can take it together.
